Supporting the research enterprise of the Case Western Reserve University research community by providing access to instruments and expertise in data analysis are the primary goals of the facility and staff of the Swagelok Center for Surface Analysis of Materials (SCSAM). We do not exist without supporting your research efforts.
As a method of tracking our effectiveness at supporting the research enterprise, we ask that you acknowledge that data was collected using instruments in our facilities. This could be done one of two ways:
- In the experimental section of your paper, for example: "scanning electron micrographs were collected on the ThermoFisher Apreo 2S (CWRU, Case School of Engineering SCSAM Center, NSF MRI Award: 2018167) at..
- In the acknowledgment section: The authors would like to acknowledge the support of the staff and use of instruments in the CWRU, Case School of Engineering SCSAM Center for the collection and analysis of TOF-SIMS data.
The SCSAM staff would like to create a repository of journal articles published that acknowledge the use of the expertise and instruments in the Facility. If you could please provide the data below, we would appreciate it.
This data is valuable for us in two ways:
- We can take this data to the University Leadership to show how access to the facility enables research on campus
- The repository would provide new researchers on campus an opportunity to find collaborators across the university if and when their work is similar.
