The National Engineers Week Foundation is a formal coalition of more than 100 professional societies, major corporations and government agencies, dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers among young students and by promoting pre-college literacy in math and science.

WISER Lightbulb Drop

WISER will once again organize the Annual E-Week Light Bulb Drop Competition. Teams of students and faculty will compete for cash prizes: 1st: $250 2nd: $175 3rd: $75.

John Nottingham and John Spirk will deliver the keynote address at a formal dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Cleveland that will celebrate engineering achievements and the positive impacts engineers have made on our society.
High School Balsa Model Bridge Competition
February 27th, 2015
Vanderhoof-Schutte Structural Lab in the Bingham Building at 9 am - 2 pm
This competitive event provides high school students the challenge of building a bridge using only balsa and wood glue to span a distance of 24 inches. The bridges will be tested to destruction and the maximum load recorded. Prizes are awarded for the best design and the largest strength to weight ratio.
