Graduation Spotlight: Alex Glatz
Alex Glatz
Graduate Student in the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program.
Why did you choose this area of study for an advanced degree?
I aim to own a business and wanted to learn more about entrepreneurship. I also wanted to broaden my horizon and develop my business and product development skills.
What are your next steps?
In July, I will be traveling to Germany as one of 75 Americans selected to partake in the CBYX of young professionals fellowship. I will spend 11 months learning German, studying at a German university, and working at a German company.
What is your favorite memory at CWRU?
Many of my favorite memories happened around the football field. For the two weeks before the fall semester starts, the football team practices on campus. I always anticipated these two weeks and enjoyed hanging out with teammates and preparing for the upcoming season and academic year.
What is your advice for a student starting a graduate or professional program at CWRU?
Talk to as many people as you can. Network and develop connections. Aim to understand how the skills you are learning are useful to the industry want to enter.
