Graduating Student Spotlight: Christian Reyna
Student Spotlight: Christian Reyna
Major: Biomedical Engineering
Minor: Spanish
Q: Why did you choose this area of study?
A: I chose biomedical engineering because it combines the two things I like the most: engineering and medicine. BME also allows me to make a life-changing (literally) impact on lives! It makes me feel great knowing that something I helped design something that made someone's health so much better and allowing them to live their lives to their fullest because of it.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: Be a part of the medical device industry, and maybe pursue an MBA later in life.
Q: Why did you choose Case Western Reserve University?
A: CWRU has an amazing biomedical engineering program and a flexible process. I also wanted to go out of state for a new experience, and I'm glad I did. It was outside of my comfort zone, but I grew in the process.
Q: What's your favorite memory of CWRU?
A: Engineers Week is always my favorite memory.
Q: As a graduating student, what's one thing you'd like to share with incoming students?
A: Don't be afraid to join professional organizations when you start your academics. Being a part of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) has been a great experience and has helped me grow professionally, academically, and personally. There are multiple organizations on campus like SHPE.
